1994 — The first factory starts production in Badr City
In 1994, the company's first factory began production in Badr City, near Cairo — the move from trading imported medical equipment to manufacturing it, a decade after the company's founding in 1984.
Starting a factory meant a different set of disciplines: production lines, quality control, and building a product range from scratch rather than sourcing one. Badr City remains the group's original manufacturing site and, decades later, is still in operation alongside the newer factories that followed.
Every hospital bed and piece of medical furniture the group has made since — including the equipment furnishing Assiut University Hospitals in 2011 and the Santron ICU line launched years later — traces back to production capability first built here.
