2022 — A new factory in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

After moving its headquarters to Paris following the 2018 HOSPIcare acquisition, Medica-Lab expanded production globally in 2022 with a new factory in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — access to one of the fastest-growing healthcare markets in the world, and a local manufacturing base rather than an export-only relationship with it.

The Madinah Industrial Area factory is licensed by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority as a local manufacturer, a status importers cannot hold, and gave the group direct access to NUPCO — the centralized procurement channel for Saudi public healthcare. Production there covers the full HOSPIcare range, not a limited subset assembled from imported components.

Since 2022, the Saudi factory has operated alongside the group's original Egyptian manufacturing base rather than replacing it — Egypt continues to serve its own market and export destinations, while Madinah serves Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf.
