2002 — Joint stock company and a second factory of 5,000 m²

In 2002, the company converted to a joint stock structure and opened a second factory, adding 5,000 square metres of production area to the original Badr City site — a step taken to prepare for further growth rather than to meet immediate capacity limits alone.

Becoming a joint stock company is a formal, regulatory step in Egypt that changes how a business can raise capital and governs how it is owned — usually taken when a company is planning expansion beyond what it can fund from operations alone. The same year, the group also began manufacturing mortuary equipment, the origin of what is today the Preservus brand.

The second factory effectively doubled the group's production footprint at the time, laying groundwork for the third factory that would follow in 2010 and, eventually, the Saudi facility opened in 2022.
