The Santron Pro ICU Bed is the flagship of the HOSPIcare MEDcare Santron family. It keeps the Santron frame, 215 cm long and 95 cm wide with a 45–75 cm height range, and adds an integrated patient weighing scale, a digital nurse control panel with display, a footboard display screen, a bed-exit alarm with low-position indicator, and under-bed and side lighting.
It carries all standard Santron positioning and safety functions, with a side patient panel and the orthopedic arm as an option. It is manufactured in Madinah under ISO 13485:2016 and SFDA licence ML-2023-MD-0885 and carries the Saudi Made mark. The Santron Pro sits outside the NUPCO framework and is supplied against direct tenders with the full documentation set.

Can the Santron Pro weigh a patient without moving them off the bed?
Yes. The Santron Pro has an integrated weighing scale, so staff can monitor the patient's weight on the bed itself, without transferring them to a separate scale and without the extra handling a transfer involves. The standard Santron has no integrated scale, so choose the Pro when bedside weighing is part of your ICU specification.

The Santron Pro ICU bed is rated to a safe working load of 250 kg, which covers the large majority of adult patients in intensive and high-dependency care. If you need to specify a bed for a heavier patient, contact us to confirm suitability before you order.

The Santron Pro keeps the Santron's frame, 215 cm long and 95 cm wide with a 45 to 75 cm height range, and all its positioning and safety functions. Is the Santron Pro bed suitable for a standard ward, or only intensive care?
The Santron Pro is designed for intensive and high-dependency care, with clinical positions such as cardiac chair and Trendelenburg, an integrated weighing scale and a bed-exit alarm. For general wards, long-term and home care, the Prime Care range is the usual choice; if you need the same ICU positioning without the scale and alarm, compare the Santron.
What does the bed-exit alarm on the Santron Pro do?
The bed-exit alarm alerts caregivers immediately when a patient attempts to leave the Santron Pro unassisted, so staff can respond straight away. The alarm comes with a low-position indicator. The standard Santron does not have a bed-exit alarm, so if your ward specification calls for one, the Santron Pro is the model to choose.
Can the Santron Pro bed be bought through the NUPCO framework agreement?
No, the Santron Pro is not one of the awarded models. Medica-Lab is NUPCO supplier 401663, with 33 line items awarded on framework NPT0027-24 for medical furniture, including the F5 (MLH-01) and Santron (MLH-01S) electric beds and the MLC-05 and MLC-02 examination tables, so hospitals served by NUPCO can source these through the framework. Other models, such as the Santron Pro, are supplied by direct purchase or tender.
