Three-Function PRIME care Bed

The Three-Function PRIME care Bed (MLP-02) is the standard in-patient hospital bed of the PRIME care range, on a 200 cm by 90 cm platform with a height that adjusts from 43 to 78 cm. It offers three positioning functions, rolls on silent braked castors, and has removable ABS head and foot panels with a stainless steel IV pole.

The Three-Function PRIME care Bed (MLP-02) is rated to a safe working load of 200 kg, which covers most adult patients. For heavier patients, the bariatric MLP-11 and MLP-12 beds in the same Prime Care range are rated to 300 kg.

The MLP-02 is the standard in-patient bed of the Prime Care range, typically used to furnish internal medicine, surgery and maternity wards, where a patient's position changes many times a day. Because it shares its platform with the rest of the line, a hospital can mix it with other Prime Care models and hold one set of spare parts.

In the Prime Care range, the difference is the positioning: the MLP-02 has three positioning functions, while the multi-function MLP-01 offers multi-function electric positioning and a 48 to 81 cm height range, against 43 to 78 cm on the MLP-02. Both share the 200 by 90 cm platform and the same options, including a backup battery and CPR system.

The MLP-02 can be ordered with a backup battery, a CPR system, a radiolucent (X-ray translucent) backrest, under-bed lighting, a bed extension and central braking, the same six options as the MLP-01. None of them is fitted unless ordered, so list the options your ward needs when you request your quotation.

The MLP-02 has no backup power fitted by default; a battery backup and a CPR system are both available as options at the time of order. Wards where positioning must keep working through an outage should specify these options upfront, since they are not part of the base three-function bed.
